Meet the Brynaman Lido Committee

Brynaman Lido has been kept alive, even though it was closed in 2010, thanks to many dedicated people from the area. Members change and we are grateful for their work, past and present.

We’re putting up profiles of the current members so you know who we are.

Look to the right on this website and you’ll see a list of committee members as we put up their information.

You’ll see our new pop-up at local events – thanks for a good job Pro-Grafix.

Committee Member: Phil

Committee Member Phil Broadhurst:

I live in Ammanford. I work for Oxfam in Swansea. I love outdoor swimming; in sea, rivers and lidos.

Loved the Lido when it was open. Want to swim there again, and to see it acting as a community asset again, promoting sport, leisure, art and creativity… with a Fairtrade snack bar too 🙂

Committee Member: Jess

Jessica Lerner is a Dance/Movement artist and Yoga teacher living in Brynaman. Jess is currently the Chair of Brynaman Lido Committee.

We are so lucky to be living in a village with such a rich history of a caring and sharing community, which was developed by the miners in building the Lido amongst other things. A place to enjoy instead of a holiday away. Social and with exercise and health benifits. Let’s get Brynaman Lido back to its full glory!
